Sergio Nicolas Aguirre is the son of the Colombian harpist and teacher Hildo Ariel Aguirre Daza. I met Sergio, his family, and other serious students and aficionados at Academia Llano y Joropo in Bogota, where I went for three weeks in 2014 to study traditional arpa llanera.
In 2015, Sergio was very well received on a tour in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
