An old paraguayan harp…

September 18, 2018

The strings pass across hardwood inserts. Years of tuning and playing have worn grooves in the inserts.

The harp comes apart in three pieces for a complete string replacement. Before reassembly I want to repair these inserts.

I’m thinking of using brass rods.

This note is to share with Fred and Brandden on the harpmakers list, but of course anyone can see it. Perhaps I will follow up with more photos, or perhaps I’ll be too busy harping.

Anyway.
